National Junior Honor Society Toy Drive
The YLMS chapter of the National Junior Honor Society is coordinating efforts with Children’s Hospital of Orange County to make the 2016 holidays a little merrier for several children here in Orange County.
If you would like to participate, please return the permission slip with a parent signature and the number of tags requested to the NJ Honor Society members at break or lunch. You will receive a tag that will have the age and gender of the child you will purchase a gift for. Please bring your new, UNWRAPPED present with the gift tag attached to it no later than Wednesday, December 14th and return to a NJ Honor Society student at break or lunch. The gift price should range from $10.00 to $20.00.
*Please no stuffed animals/toys.
We are hoping that all of you will be able to participate in OPERATION: HAPPY HOLIDAYS. It’s true that when we help someone else, we are happier ourselves!
Speak Up Survey 2016
The Speak Up Project for Digital Learning gives education stakeholders the opportunity to share their viewpoints about key educational issues, particularly concerning digital learning and the use of technology to support future ready schools. This is your chance to be heard regarding technology and schools. Our students will be taking the survey at school, and all staff have been asked to participate. Please follow the link to this short survey and let your thoughts be known. Once there, choose 'parents' and the zip code 92886 then choose YLMS as the school. The survey takes about 10 minutes. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and helping guide us as we make decisions for our students.
Thursday Music Assembly
Our vocal and instrumental students will be performing for our students on Thursday. Your chances to see them are Monday and Wednesday nights.
Below is the bell schedule for this day.
Dude Be Nice Unity Week
Can you imagine a school…
Where all the students say “Hello” to everyone they pass in the halls?
Where all students take pride in their school campus?
Where students strive to help other students succeed?
Our students experienced some great activities during our annual YLMS Dude Be Nice Program. Reminders will continue in the next weeks as we practice kindness to others.
