CAASPP Test Results

CAASPP scores are being mailed this week.  This new test was taken by students last spring.  It’s computerized and the format is very different.  Your student probably told you all about it.  Since these are the first results of this new test, it’s common to have questions.  There is a parent guide, available here, which can help explain the test and results.  Another resource is our district page, found here. We hope this information is helpful as you look at the results being sent to your home.

Parent University Classes

The Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District values the active role parents take in their child’s education. In order to support this relationship, the District has implemented a parent education program entitled “Parent University.”

We offer free workshops on various educational topics throughout the school year so parents can become better equipped to support their child’s learning. Research indicates that when schools work together with families to support learning, students perform better in school and throughout life.

Classes include:

  • Navigating the College System
  • Student Academics
  • Parenting Support
  • Student Safety

Classes are offered in English and Spanish.  For full class descriptions, click the link.ParentUniversityLogo_oval.jpg
