Parents are invited to meet with the visitation team on Thursday, Dec. 3 at 4:45 in the library. Your opinions are valuable to the process.
Speak Up Survey
We're asking for everyone to take a few minutes and participate in the national Speak Up survey. Speak Up, an online research project facilitated by Project Tomorrow®, gives education stakeholders the opportunity to share their viewpoints about key educational issues, particularly concerning digital learning and the use of technology to support future ready schools. Each year, findings are summarized and shared with national and state policy makers.
We ask all our staff, students, and parents to let their voice be heard. Please take a few minutes to help by following these steps:
Please take action before Dec. 17. Thank you in advance for your help.
CAASPP Test Results
By now, you should have received results of your child's CAASPP test taken last spring. This new test was taken by students last spring. It’s computerized and the format is very different. Your student probably told you all about it. Since these are the first results of this new test, it’s common to have questions. There is a parent guide, available here, which can help explain the test and results. Another resource is our district page, found here. We hope this information is helpful as you look at the results.
Parent University Classes
The Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District values the active role parents take in their child’s education. In order to support this relationship, the District has implemented a parent education program entitled “Parent University.”
