1st Period ~ Performing Band-2021-22 Assignments

Students, in my absence I expect you all to continue to be working hard in class and being respectful of Mr. Nash your substitute. By Friday, I expect the following sections to be recorded and submitted on this assignment as a recording.


As we are in Festival season, the expectations will go up and expect weekly playing tests to assure you are practicing. For this week, they will be submitted online. For future weeks, they will be live.


Do not submit the recording until you are confident you have notes and rhythms correct. The make up process if you do not pass will be on your own time, not during breaks or class time.

You will record yourself playing On the Street once through the Trio. Stop after the first time through the Trio. That should be roughly the last 3 lines of the music, about 20 seconds of playing. You do not need to have it memorized, but I am grading on note accuracy. If you have questions please ask, I should be able to work with you on the music either during lunch, before school, or after school. Upload the video or audio file to this assignment. I do not want you to email it to me unless absolutely necessary.

You will record yourself playing On the Street from the beginning until the Trio. Stop at the Trio. That should be roughly 5 lines of music, about 45 seconds of playing. You do not need to have it memorized, but I am grading on note accuracy.
