Assistant Principal

 

I am honored to introduce myself as your new Assistant Principal. I joined the YLMS community this September, and I am already grateful for the warm welcome from students, staff, and families.

 

I grew up in this area, so this community is home to me. My path into school leadership started in the art room, and teaching art taught me that students do t

heir best work when they feel safe enough to try something, get it wrong, and try again. That belief still guides how I approach my work with students today, whether I am talking with a seventh grader about a hard day or working with teachers to strengthen support in the classroom.

 

Before coming to Yorba Linda Middle School, I served as an Assistant Principal at Valencia High School, where I worked closely with our special education team, coordinated advanced academic programs, and supported students through the everyday challenges of growing up.

 

Middle school is a season of real change. Students are figuring out who they are, what they care about, and how they want to show up in the world. My job is to help make this a place where that growth can happen, where every student is known by name and every family feels like a partner.
