Dance Team

 
Welcome to the 2026 - 2027 YLMS Dance Team. 
 
We are excited for the upcoming YLMS Dance Team season!
 

Please note that, in addition to completing the required confirmations for your student in HomeCampus, you are also required to upload the Athletic Physical Form before your student can participate in the dance season.

Please make sure all required forms and documentation are completed and uploaded prior to the start of the dance season.

Practices: Every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. 7:30 am to 8:30 am
  • Tuesday: Technique & Rally Practice
  • Thursday: Large Group Practice
  • Friday: Small Group Practice

Auditions

  • Monday, August 31st: 3:45–5:15 PM
  • Tuesday, September 1st: 3:45–5:15 PM

Students should wear comfortable athletic attire.

On the first day of auditions, dancers will demonstrate technique in center and learn three audition combinations. Videos of the choreography will be emailed out afterward for students to practice at home. The combinations will include:

  • Lyrical
  • Jazz
  • Hip-Hop
On the second day, dancers will participate in technique across the floor and perform each of the three combinations for evaluation.

Throughout the season, team members will receive training in lyrical, jazz, contemporary, and hip-hop.
